Zialena Winery in the heart of Alexander Valley.
Whether you’re sorting grape clusters from the hopper, feeling the morning sun warm the rows of ripening Cabernet Sauvignon, or catching the earthy perfume of freshly picked fruit with a bird’s eye view of open top fermentors, this is harvest at its most intimate and unforgettable. Your journey begins with a private golf cart tour through Zialena’s estate vineyards, owned by one of Alexander Valley’s most revered grapegrowing families, the Mazzonis. Along the way, your dedicated host will share stories of the Mazzoni Family legacy, sustainable farming of their 120-acre ranch, and be able to capture the pulse of the season through an immersive education—all set against the stunning backdrop of Geyserville in autumn.
You’ll visit the winery’s sleek cellar, unique in both architecture and its custom concrete fermentors for a tasting of current releases, then venture back outdoors for a gourmet picnic lunch by Dry Creek Kitchen surrounded by their Cappella Vineyard, a block of 2,500 hand-pruned, head-trained vines curated by Mark Mazzoni himself.
When nature’s timing aligns, you’ll witness grapes being picked or sorted in real time—a thrilling, up-close look at winemaking. Feeling adventurous? You might partake in grape stomping or sorting if the time is right. Your Zialena experience will be customized to reflect what’s happening in the vineyard or cellar that day—ensuring an authentic and elevated wine country moment.
