In this exciting workshop, hosted at MIX Garden, we will explore the art of timely harvesting and creative foraging before students enjoy designing with everything from delicate cut flowers in the garden to the wildest of Spring branches. Come stretch your imagination and indulge your curiosity!
Each participant will leave with their own work of art.
What You Will Learn:
- Planning your garden for desired results: Plan your garden for continuous bounty. We’ll teach you how to stagger planting times and choose plant varieties for a garden that provides beauty and bounty throughout the year.
- Pruning: Avoid making pruning mistakes to your beloved shrubs and trees! Not only does bad pruning affect the plant’s appearance but, also it affects its structural health. Delve into the art of seasonal pruning.
- Art of foraging with intention: Engage with your surroundings and train yourself to see shapes, absorb aromas and celebrate the beauty of nature, discovering nature’s curios.
- Hands-On Experience: Put your knowledge into practice by creating your own work of art. This hands-on activity will allow you to incorporate a curated selection of foraged items, cut flowers and natural elements into your own arrangement.
- As you learn, sip on a sparkling brunch cocktail or glass of freshly squeezed juice while enjoying specially prepared bites from Appellation co-founder and CEO, Chef Charlie Palmer.
