The 37th Annual Russian River Watershed Cleanup Day

Russian Riverkeeper is pleased to announce the exciting plans we have in store for the 37th annual Russian River Watershed Cleanup on Saturday, September 16th! We’re looking forward to gathering again with you to show the river some love and care as the summer comes to a close. The September cleanup is our largest of the year and helps remove trash that accumulates over the summer months on the Russian River.

This year, there will be teams across the watershed from Ukiah to Monte Rio all contributing with the shared mission of protecting our River and ocean from trash pollution. Our goal in 2023 is to beat our record of 35,000 pounds of trash, 175 tires, and 452 volunteers, and we can only do it with your help. The Russian River Watershed Cleanup will feature opportunities for you to help shape the future of river parks, future trails, and riparian habitats needed for healthy ecosystems.
