Executive Chef Michael Pihl is driven by seasonal flavors and direct contact with local producers to provide unique farm-to-table experiences. Working in the Bay Area for over 20 years, Chef Pihl has gathered a plethora of fine-dining restaurant experience including as Chef & Partner at Bungalow 44, Head Chef at Mustards Grill, and other locations such as at Michael Mina/Bourbon Steakhouse, Rubicon, and the two-Michelin-starred Cyrus.

Chef Pihl is bringing a comprehensive knowledge of international cuisine and an innovative approach to the dining experience at Burdock.


Michael Richardson is a hospitality veteran with over two decades of experience of pioneering the Vegas nightlife. Michael was an instrumental part of the original opening teams for Wynn Las Vegas, China Grill and the Tao Groups. Prior to relocating to Sonoma, Mr. Richardson was a co-founder Frankies Tiki Room and coauthored the book Liquid Vacation.
