COFFEE + CONVERSATION: BESTSELLING AUTHOR DAVE EGGERS + PORT OF MOKHA’S FOUNDER MOKHTAR ALKHANSHALI
Pequeño Santo is excited to welcome the Founder and CEO of Port of Mokha, Mokhtar Alkhanshali, and Author Dave Eggers for a discussion on Eggers’ New York Times bestselling book, The Monk of Mokha. The book tells the story of the improbable journey of Mokhtar, a Yemeni kid from San Francisco, who fell in love with coffee and went back to his homeland to befriend farmers, and inspired them to elevate their crops.
Written by Dave Eggers on Mokhtar’s story, The Monk of Mokha is “a gripping, triumphant adventure” (Los Angeles Times) on the incredible true story of a young Yemeni American man raised in San Francisco, who dreams of resurrecting the ancient art of Yemeni coffee but finds himself trapped in Sana’a by civil war.
