Our early Summer Agricultural workshop, Interconnectedness, focuses on the dialogue between farm and farmer in the weeks surrounding the summer solstice. These are the longest days of the year and require our full attention in the field. What practices do our farmers employ to ensure our crops remain healthy and that our harvests remain full in the coming months? What does the farm tell us and how do we respond?
Guests of the workshop will join in on this dialogue, covering such topics as tomato pruning and trellising, irrigation and water management strategies, pest and disease mitigation and best practices for harvesting and storing summer crops. All participants will enjoy refreshments from the kitchens of SingleThread and take home a SingleThread Yeti Tumbler.
